Before looking at any mount, answer these three questions. They cut through most of the noise and point you at the right family in under a minute.

Terrain modifiers can swing effective speed by 15–25%. The right mount on the right terrain outperforms a nominally faster mount on the wrong one. Match your primary route first, then optimize within that family.

The Keg is still faster — but the gap drops from 4.77× to 3.46×. For long forest routes with frequent stops, the Gorren's far simpler fuel supply chain may make it the better operational choice.

The One Number That Matters Most El Único Número que Más Importa

Every mount decision comes down to a single calculation: profit per trip.

Profit per trip = (value of cargo delivered) − (fuel cost for the route) − (repair cost per session) − (time cost) − (risk exposure in the zone).

The fastest mount is not automatically the most profitable. A Krazy Keg Valannium at 8.0 Lyr/h on a desert route with Fire Juice supply nearby can be extraordinarily profitable. The same mount on a long forest route with no Fire Juice supply nearby — running at 6.4 Lyr/h effective with a 20 Lyr tank — requires more planning and more fuel stops to stay profitable.

A Cruiser Gorren at 1.56 Lyr/h on a forest route with Water available everywhere, 60 Lyrias of range, and Meat for repair is much simpler to make profitable from day one.

Know your route. Know your fuel source. Then pick the fastest mount that fits both constraints.
